Anyone who reads this blogs knows that I knit.

I bought this needle case 

from Martha By Mail years ago. 

(by the way, I miss that catalogue; it had great products.)

I love the needle case - I would never know what needles I owned without it.

Regular readers also know how I like to use up everything.

I made a few needle cases a couple of years ago

with some of my extra fabric

and sold them at Sea Beans Studio.

The needle cases sold quickly each time I brought them to the shop.

I kept meaning to make more, but not being a speedy seamstress...

I procrastinated.

Out of the blue, I was inspired to make more needle cases

for the upcoming Sis Boom show.

I guess I wanted to change it up a bit.

I patched a lot of my scraps together...

and used this great ribbon that I bought a few seasons ago;

one ribbon illustrates how to knit in 3 easy steps

and another has the words:

I wonder who is knitting for me? 

How much fun to use this ribbon for the ties.

So here are the knitting needle cases.

Each one is one of a kind.

I sewed in the studio all weekend long 

listening to my book on tape.

It was a perfect weekend.

I hated to stop.

These will all be for sale at the Sis Boom show

on June 11th, 12th and 13th

A created a few more goodies.

Luncheon with a blog friend.

This was a first for me: meeting a "cyber-friend", to use Elizabeth's moniker...

I discovered Elizabeth through Pigtown*Design, who saw Elizabeth at a festival and then blogged about her beautiful felted accessories.  I planned to link to the Pigtown*Design post, but after a futile search for the post, I gave up.  

Elizabeth designs beautiful felted scarves, throws, shawls.

So after a few months of commenting back and forth, we decided to meet for coffee/lunch since we lived in the same neck of the woods.   While we were enjoying a delicious lunch and I was admiring Elizabeth's new work, a friend of Elizabeth's stopped and was introduced as a fellow blogger:  MajorKnitter.

And do you know, I recognized the blogger name; I discovered her blog a year or two - she is a wonderful knitter who lives locally and frequents the same knitting shop.  

So small world even in this very expansive internet space!

Latest work 

Here are some of the 16" x 20" memento boards

that I have started to wholesale

 great response to these boards

It started by accident.

In April/May I sent out pitch pieces for my frames

to 20 stores across the country.

I included my fun mailer (artwork done by pve design).

It is pictured on most the boards in this post.

The buyers loved the frames 

but they also wanted to know about the boards.

I have been creating the boards 

on a custom basis for decorators and designers mainly.

I always do some for my boutique shows,

but I had not really thought about wholesaling them.

But with all the interest I had to do something about it.

I crunched the numbers,

got the woodworker cutting,

and I worked like crazy for the month of May.

I am pleased.

I have 6 new wholesale accounts.

A few more are on the sidelines; 

I am certain I will be able to convince them

to pick-up my line eventually.

And I still have my trusted accounts that have supported me for years.

Thanks to you all,
